Access to Music Therapy Services

Music therapy provided by Access Music Therapy, llc may not be covered by health insurance. We understand, families still need help in paying for the service. Knowing what is available and where to go to access funding can be difficult. This page should get you started by connecting you to the financial supports available to families in Minnesota.

State Waivers

Supports in Minnesota

Minnesota Department of Human Services – DD Waiver — The DD Waiver provides funding for home and community-based services for children and adults with developmental disabilities or related conditions.

Minnesota Department of Human Services – CADI Waiver — The Community Alternatives for Disabled Individuals (CADI) Waiver provides funding for home and community-based services for children and adults, who would otherwise require the level of care provided in a nursing facility.

Minnesota Department of Human Services – BI Waiver — The Brain Injury Waiver (Formerly TBI) provides funding for home and community-based services for children and adults who have an acquired or traumatic brain injury.

Grant Funding

Consumer Support Grant – The CSG program gives consumers greater flexibility and freedom of choice in service selection, payment rates, service delivery specifications and employment of service providers. Parents, spouses, family members, trusted neighbors or friends can be paid for service, as well as employees of traditional home care provider agencies.

Family Support Grant – The Family Support Grant (FSG) program provides state cash grants to families of children with certified disabilities. The goal is to prevent or delay out-of-home placement of children with disabilities and promote family health and social well-being by providing access to family-centered services and supports.

Supports In Wisconsin

 Wisconsin Department of Human Services – CLTS  – The Children’s Long-Term Support and Community-Based Medicaid (CLTS) Waiver provide a structure within which Medicaid funding is available to support children who are living at home or in the community and who have substantial limitations in multiple daily activities as a result of one or more of the following disabilities: developmental disabilities, severe emotional disturbances, and physical disabilities.

Community Care Connections of Wisconsin – Community Care Connections of Wisconsin coordinates quality, cost-effective, and individualized long-term care supports available through Wisconsin’s Family Care program that support member strengths, needs and the development of meaningful community connections that lead to full citizenship in their communities.
